The engagement committee aims to identify member interests and reach out to those members who have moved away from London or who find City events difficult to attend.

It started as an idea from Past Master John Leighfield about connecting with members in different ways such as encouraging Special Interest Groups (SIGS) and supporting volunteering as Governors in Schools as well as  via Livery Schools Link.

It also influenced the Master Educator in 2017 to experiment with an alternative to the Masters weekend by having a number of shorter more informal events in different parts of the UK.
